Job Title: Portal Business Analyst
Department: Information Technology
Location: Boston
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze enhancement requests with senior members of the Portal Team
- Prioritize enhancement requests by urgency of request, level of effort required, and total impact throughout the organization
- Write specifications for India and Report Developers
- Participate in calls with Sapient India over enhancement lifecycle to help manage progress
- Manage progress of US developers for reports and feed enhancement requests with Portal Project Manager
- Documentation and Training - begin process of updating user documents so that all nuances are documented and accessible to users
- Responsible for Quality Assurance testing for the portal
- Ensure that releases capture all the requested functionality and satisfy the business requirements
- Conduct regression tests on Portal releases to ensure existing functionality does not break due to new enhancements
- Organize QA effort including but not limited to:
- Identify appropriate users
- Schedule user's time
- Write test scripts
- Collect results
- Ensure the quality of the sophisticated reporting is maintained
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- College degree required
- 3+ years related analysis experience.
- Excellent customer service skills required
- High energy, professional attitude, successful independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in time sensitive environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert knowledge of EXCEL required, Strong knowledge of Word and database applications preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work well under pressure and under strict and demanding deadlines.
- Experience in, or exposure to, a financial services environment is preferred
