Job Title: Senior Associate

The Senior Associate works with the Vice President (VP) of MEDACorp and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) on the creation and publication of reports on new advances and developments in the healthcare field, the planning and execution of teleconferences for institutional investors, and the overall coordination of products and services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take primary responsibility with CSO for the planning, research, organization, and writing of 2-4 industry reports annually
- Take primary responsibility for the planning, research, and organization of 8-10 investor conference calls annually and the writing of call summaries
- Take primary responsibility for the creation, maintenance, and revision of developmental product pipelines in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and diagnostics
- Participate in conference calls with physician consultants and take primary responsibility for summarizing the content of the calls
- Participate in pipeline meetings and take primary responsibility for summarizing the outcome of such meetings
- Assist the VP and CSO in performing primary and secondary research utilizing journal articles, online databases, and the MEDACorp physician consultant network
- Assist the CSO in further research and follow up on ideas generated through conference calls and internal meetings
- Actively monitor a focus lists of companies, products, and therapeutics indications for new developments and events
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Advanced degree (PhD) in life sciences required
- Prior experience in medical and/or scientific writing required, including the ability to explain complex medical concepts to a general (non-medical) audience
- Must be highly interested in a career in finance; prior experience in financial services and/or prior training in business preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills
- Ability to interact professionally with co-workers, internal senior management, physicians, and other biomedical professionals within MEDACorp consultant base
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Keen attention to detail and discretion with respect to privileged information
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
