Job Title: IT Systems Engineer
Reports to: Vice President, IT Operations
Department: Information Technology
Location: San Francisco
The IT Systems Administrator will provide first and second level IT site support to the Leerink Swann staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Problem and request management for basic end-user desktop support including: Microsoft OS (XP)/office 2003, Blackberry BES admin, desktop imaging, ghost and remote desktop tools (Dameware)
- Problem resolution relating to voice/network connectivity
- Trading floor operations support
- Support LAN/Voice requirements
- Assist with DR planning, documentation and support as required
- Vendor management
- Support office moves as needed
- Periodic weekend, off-hours on-site/remote support requirements as required
- On-call rotational support
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- 6-8 years IT experience in related industry, preferably in financial services
- 4-year college degree or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of trading floor support, applications and operations; i.e. oms, fix, turrets (IPC), trade flow
- Experience with data loss prevention tools; i.e. whole disk encryption, end-point lockdown, laptop security and tracking
- Knowledge of Active Directory services, Avaya systems Admin (PBX/Voicemail), Windows server 200x systems admin, LAN/voice wiring and troubleshooting, Microsoft Exchange 2003, VoIP applications and basic networking skills (WAN/LAN, VPN, telecom)
- A/V experience (video/audio conferencing/hoot)
- Outstanding customer service skills; technical project management experience a plus
- May be required to travel to other Leerink Swann sites to assist with integration projects
