Job Title: Trade Support Analyst

As a vital member of our Information Technology Department, the Trade Support Analyst will work in a fast-paced trading room environment to provide high quality desktop support services to our Sales Traders and Market Makers. Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, providing 1st level trading and market data application support; troubleshooting PC hardware, Windows 2000, XP operating systems and MS Office issues; troubleshooting basic connectivity issues; and completing trading room moves, adds, and changes.
The Trade Support Analyst will be expected to be a liaison between the traders and the information technology department, and ensure that customers are kept informed of their problem status through to resolution. In addition, the Analyst will be tasked with developing a basic knowledge of Sales Traders and Market Makers activities and procedures to an advanced user level. Hours to mirror the Trading Desk.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first level support for the Lava trading application to Sales Traders, Listed Traders and Market Makers.
- Coordinate the ordering, installation and testing of FIX and IOI connections for the Raptor Trading Application.
- Coordinate the ordering, installation and testing of ringdown lines for the IPC turrets
- Primary support for New York, Boston and San Francisco trading desks.
- Track creation of ID’s, entitlements, and terminations on user accounts for various trading services.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Information Technology major, related major, or 2 years of experience in a trading support position.
- Must have experience working on an equity trading desk. Experience with market makers and ECNs and/or Sell-side a plus.
- Experience with market data service platforms such as Lava, Raptor, Bloomberg, Flextrade, and Thomson a strong plus
- Strong Windows 2000 and XP troubleshooting skills.
- Strong PC hardware installation and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of networking and telecommunications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 including Outlook.
- Excellent client service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities accordingly.
