Boston, MA - May 6, 2008 - Healthcare investment bank Leerink Swann announced that Robert Kiely has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director and Head of Human Resources.
Mr. Kiely was most recently First Vice President, Relationship Manager – Leadership and Talent Management for Merrill Lynch in New York. In this position, he was responsible for all human resource activities for the Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) organization, which employs over 4,000 people globally. Mr. Kiely also completed assignments with Merrill Lynch in London, Tokyo, and Asia Pacific/Hong Kong where he led human resource activities in each of those regions.

Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Kiely spent five years with American Express Bank where he became Senior Director and Head of Human Resources for the Asia Pacific and Subcontinent regions. In this role, he held HR responsibilities for 13 countries and over 1,500 employees.
Mr. Kiely received his B.A. in Economics from Hamilton College.
