LEERINK SWANN ANALYSTS RANKED “BEST ON THE STREET” BY WALL STREET JOURNAL
BOSTON, Mass.—May 19, 2008—Leerink Swann, the leading healthcare investment banking firm, today announced that several of its analysts have been recognized in the 2008 Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” rankings. Leerink Swann analysts John Sullivan, Bruce Cranna and Joseph Schwartz were each ranked based on their stock picking performance in 2007.
Leerink Swann had more analysts represented across the four healthcare related categories than any other firm.

Sullivan, Schwartz and Cranna were chosen from a group of over 1,700 eligible analysts. John Sullivan and Joseph Schwartz ranked in the Biotechnology category. For Sullivan, this is his second year on the list. He joined Leerink Swann in 2004 and was recently promoted to the role of Director of Research. Schwartz has been a member of the Firm since 2003. Bruce Cranna joined Leerink Swann in 2002 and was recognized in the Medical Equipment and Supplies category. This is Cranna’s third year on the list.
Additionally, Leerink Swann ranked in the top third of the Research Firm rankings, according to the total number of “Best on the Street” awards earned by the Firm’s analysts.
