Third Annual Big Brothers and Big Sisters Fishing Tournament Sponsored by Leerink Swann Continues its Tradition of Supporting One to One Friendships
Boston, MA - September 29, 2006. For the third year, Leerink Swann was the lead sponsor of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Fishing Tournament held on September 16th out of Hyannis, Massachusetts Marina. Anglers on more than thirty boats competed for stripers and blues along with 50 Big Brothers and Big Sisters and their Little Brothers and Little Sisters, many fishing for the first time. Because of the financial support of the financial services and venture capital communities in Boston and New York, this event was able to net more than $205,000. The tournament, chaired by Jeff Leerink, in its short existence of three years, has raised more than $725,000 for the country's oldest and most celebrated youth mentoring program.
