Leerink Swann Analyst Ranked Among “World’s Top Analysts” By Financial Times Special Report
BOSTON, Mass.—May 21, 2009—Leerink Swann, the leading healthcare investment banking firm, today announced that senior equity research analyst Gary Nachman has been recognized in the Financial Times’ “World’s Top Analysts” special report, the publication’s annual awards for the recognition of the top equity analysts and brokerage firms around the world.
Mr. Nachman was ranked first in the “Top Earnings Estimator” category for the Pharmaceuticals/Biotechnology industry in the U.S. Moreover, Mr. Nachman placed fifth in the “Top 10 Earnings Estimators – US” category, which tracks analysts in all coverage industries.

The Financial Times, in collaboration with StarMine, a Thomson Reuters company, objectively compiled the “World’s Top Analysts” rankings by measuring the performance of analysts based on the returns on their buy/sell recommendations and the accuracy of their earnings estimates. The 2009 awards are based on the 2008 calendar-year performance of recommendations and estimates on companies that are based in the US, Europe and Asia.
