There are many different options for companies seeking to add or replace debt to their capital structure. Our team has significant domain expertise in structuring and arranging debt transactions of all types and sizes. In addition to direct lending in the private debt markets and broadly syndicated loans and bonds, we are able to structure, commit to and arrange ARR loans, preferred equity investments, convertible debt and other bespoke structures.
Structured Finance
Structured Finance transactions provide specialized advisory services for Royalty Monetization, “synthetic royalty” placements and private credit placements to corporates, academic and medical not-for-profit clients.
Our experienced team engages in a highly consultative approach valued by CEOs and CFOs as they explore structured finance products as a way to finance their short- and long-term needs. We actively work with more than 30 pre-qualified investment firms on structured finance transactions. Our Structured Finance Team has over a decade of experience leading royalty monetization and private credit transactions for corporate and not-for-profit clients.

Spencer Alstodt
Senior Managing Director, Leveraged Finance
Spencer Alstodt is a Senior Managing Director at Leerink Partners focused on Leveraged Finance & Debt Capital Markets for the Technology sector. In his role, Spencer advises, structures, originates and syndicates leveraged loans and bonds and works closely alongside corporate clients and investors, overseeing the execution of transactions, and building relationships among borrowers and investors. With more than 25 years of experience, he has led the origination and syndication of 248 deals for over $128 billion in transaction value. Spencer helped lead Leerink Partners’ Tech Investment Banking team to serve as joint bookrunner for Skillz’s $300 million 144A offering of senior notes and co-manager of ZipRecruiter’s $550 million 144A offering of senior notes.
Spencer joined the firm in 2021 from Jefferies LLC where he spent 13 years as a Managing Director in TMT and Industrials Leveraged Capital Markets and sat on the firm’s Debt Review Committee and Debt Commitment Committee. While at Jefferies, he was instrumental in building the leverage finance and capital markets platform, earning #1 league table rankings for sponsor-backed leveraged buyout financings and consecutive years of top honors for total deals and capital raised within the technology sector. Prior to Jefferies, he was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns & Co and began his career at JP Morgan Securities where he worked in the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets Group.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.

Thad Davis
Senior Managing Director
Thad Davis is a Senior Managing Director in Investment Banking at Leerink Partners. With over 20 years of Healthcare Investment Banking experience, he has executed strategic transactions for a variety of public and private companies across all major sectors of healthcare, including healthcare-focused private equity.
Additionally, Thad shares responsibility for Leerink’s Leveraged and Private Capital Markets franchise. Thad advises, structures, and originates debt and growth capital solutions across the private and syndicated capital markets working closely alongside clients and building relationships with investors.
Thad joined the firm in 2021 from HSBC where he served as Head of U.S. Healthcare Investment Banking and was responsible for healthcare coverage including origination, relationship oversight, team leadership and transaction execution. Prior to HSBC, he was a Managing Director at Jefferies and UBS within their respective global healthcare teams.
Thad earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and serves on the executive committee of the board of directors at the New York Common Pantry.

Mahe Ravi
Senior Managing Director, Leveraged Finance
Mahe Ravi is a Senior Managing Director at Leerink Partners on our Leveraged Finance team, focusing on raising debt capital for a variety of financial sponsor-backed and corporate clients.
Mahe joined the firm in 2021 from Jefferies where she last served as Senior Vice President and was responsible for origination and execution of healthcare leveraged finance transactions. Prior to her career at Jefferies, she spent four years with Microchip Technology designing microprocessors.
She earned her master’s degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati and M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mike Morsink
Managing Director, Leveraged Finance
Mike Morsink is a Managing Director at Leerink Partners focused on Leveraged Finance for the Technology sector. In his role, Mike advises on, structures, originates, and syndicates leveraged loans and bonds, and works closely alongside corporate clients and investors while overseeing the execution of transactions and building relationships among borrowers and investors. With over 13 years of experience in leveraged finance and broader debt capital markets, he has led the origination and syndication of a wide range of corporate and sponsor-driven financings.
Mike joined the firm in 2022 from Deutsche Bank where he spent 8 years as a Director leading the West Coast and Technology Leveraged Finance effort. While at Deutsche Bank, he worked on many transactions including, but not limited to, sponsor financings for Veracode, Conga, and Monotype, as well as corporate M&A financings for onsemi, Lumentum, and SS&C. His prior work experience includes positions at Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and Cantor Fitzgerald.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
